Engagement Story

With a bond forged over 13 years of friendship and three years of romance, Madison and Lane’s proposal story embodied the simplicity and beauty of their connection. During a romantic horseback ride through Malibu, followed by a hike on their favorite trail, Lane asked Madison to marry her. As the sun set over the mountains and casted a dreamy glow on the couple they dreamed of their future together.

Designing A Dreamy Villa de Lucca Wedding

For Madison and Lane, the allure of Villa de Lucca lay in its natural splendor, inspiring them to craft a wedding that celebrated the venue’s inherent beauty. Embracing an all-white and neutral color palette accented by touches of greenery, they aimed to complement rather than overshadow the enchanting surroundings.

The ceremony space was set with simple yet elegant white floral arrangements and wood chairs, which were later moved into the reception.

Amongst the backdrop of the Jasmine Sanctuary, a long u-shaped dinner table was set where all guests enjoyed a sit-down dinner. Cream-colored tables were set with white details and effortless floral arrangements of white flowers and subtle greenery. The wedding cake at this Villa de Lucca wedding reception was a masterpiece. Cake Cathedral designed a three-tiered white fondant cake with modern white sugar detailing. It took your breath away.

Wedding Day details

Madison and Lane chose to forego the traditional bridal party, opting for a wedding that reflected the essence of their love with intimate and thoughtful details.

Their day started with a private first look between Madison and her dad, followed by formalizing their marriage by singing their marriage license. By signing their license in advance of their ceremony, the newlyweds were able to take any pressure away from their ceremony and set the day up for an atmosphere of love and celebration.

Every small detail was a personalized and thoughtful decision, from the floral appliques on Madison’s veil to the dried flower cones for the ceremony and live music throughout the day.

Capturing A California Love Story

As a golden glow reflected on the surrounding valley and vineyards, Madison and Lane enjoyed time taking their wedding portraits amongst the Villa de Lucca property.

Madison and Lane took the opportunity to participate in a unique photo session with Wildhouse Weddings before their wedding day. They partook in an ‘adventure session’. This allowed the couple a chance to get comfortable with their photography team and capture some unforgettable wedding portraits along the California coast. It is safe to say that I am obsessed with how these steamy and romantic photos turned out!
