My passion for design started at a very young age when office supplies were my toys. I was always creating and designing, begging my parents to take me back to the store so I could pick out more pens, markers, paper, stamps or glue. Being creative gave me joy, and spreading that joy is what drives me today!
My passion for design and event planning started at seven years old when I began competitive figure skating. Although I no longer figure skate, my passion for design and events did not waver.
While attending college I began working as a corporate event planner where I planned a variety of events for both small and large companies. I graduated from California State University Fullerton with a Bachelor's Degree in Human Communications and an emphasis in Interpersonal Communications.
During the past 16 years, I have planned domestic and international corporate events for Fortune 500 companies in the entertainment and pharmaceutical sector. Also, I have coordinated weddings, social gatherings, and non-profit events for clients throughout the West Coast.
I love seeing the joy and excitement on people's faces as they enter the event space for the first. I am here to bring that same joy and excitement to your special occasion. As a full-service event planner, I will walk beside you throughout the entire process creating a stress-free plan leading up to and including the special occasion itself. I have only one rule for my clients and that is to have fun and find the joy in the process.
I was born and raised in Southern California, but in the last 10 years I have lived in four different states. With the most recent move to the Outer Banks of North Carolina. Moving has allowed me to become incredibly flexible in life and opened my eyes to finding joy in new experiences.
When I am not planning or designing events, I enjoy spending time with my husband and two children. Often, we can be found at the beach, hiking, or exploring the city where we live.
The sunflower meaning varies based on cultural and religious roots, but what I have taken away from all the various meaning is to follow the sun, find joy and be faithful. Sunflowers have the ability to extend beyond their original place they are planted, and the seeds can be reused over and over again extending their longevity for years to come. They are also a sign of good fortune, and happiness.
Since I was a little girl, sunflowers have always been my favorite flower. Every time I see them, they fill my heart with the biggest smile. I feel like there’s a sunflower in me, motivating me to continue to push myself and grow like a sunflower, and bringing joy to the people that touch my life. When a sunflower perishes and all that’s left are the seeds; I harvest those seeds and plant them again to repeat the cycle all over again. That is truly my mission. I hope that through my events, and the relationships I build I leave a little ‘sunflower smile’ wherever I go.
