Villa de Lucca

Brianna & Alex

For Brianna and Alex, it was a priority that their wedding reflected their playful nature and how much they love and respect each other. They are best friends first, and it warmed my heart to see the endless love and admiration they have for each other. I worked with Brianna and Alex to bring their Central Coast wedding at Villa de Lucca to life with help from my partial planning package.

Engagement Story

During a work trip to Santa Barbara, Alex planned a romantic night out to watch the soft tones of sunset on Butterfly Beach. As a previous place of celebration for these two, it was fitting that Alex chose this location to drop to one knee and profess his love to Brianna. Little to Brianna’s knowledge, it was all captured by a nearby photographer who continued with an engagement portrait session with the newly engaged couple shortly afterward. As the couple left the beach, Alex surprised Brianna once again with a group of friends who traveled to Santa Barbara to join in on the joyous celebrations.

A year and a day later, on a beautiful fall day, the two got married in a bohemian-inspired Central Coast wedding at Villa de Lucca.

Designing Their Dream Central Coast Wedding

Brianna’s mom played a vital role in designing and bringing to life their wedding day vision. She used her creativity and immense talent to create a bohemian meets classic wedding design that was embodied throughout the day’s events. The handmade centerpieces that Brianna’s mother made paired perfectly with the couple’s vision and the surrounding florals. She also made their wedding cake and included the cutest details of Brianna and Alex’s cat.

A soft and romantic color palette of greens and blues with a pop of burnt orange inspired their day. This dreamy blue and green palette came to life in the long blue bridesmaid dresses and blue bridal bouquets. At the reception in the Jasmine Sanctuary, round guest tables were set with dusty blue napkins, blue water goblets, and gold chairs. Brianna’s mother incorporated subtle pops of burnt orange into the floral centerpieces on guests’ tables and the florals on the wedding cake, which tied the look together.

Personalized Details

It was essential to Brianna and Alex that their Central Coast wedding reflected them as a couple, so personalized elements were intertwined throughout their day. At the ceremony, a memorial table honored family members who had passed away. During their ceremony, the two participated in a wine ceremony, which is a unity ritual symbolizing the joining of two individuals into one family.

From their custom cocktails to including Brianna’s mother in the design and decorating, the customizations of their day were endless. These details were a true reflection of Brianna and Alex and their boundless love for one another.

Witnessing Brianna and Alex’s love story blossom was a true honor. This couple was a testament as to what love looks like and how important friendship is in marriage. Thank you Brianna and Alex for having me a part of your wedding day!
